We’re very proud to share that we’ve made our first donation of the year to The Pangolin Project — a moment that sits quietly at the heart of what Pangolins, Consciously Curated is all about.
This donation has funded the protection of one acre of pangolin habitat for an entire year.
It might sound like a small figure on paper, but on the ground it means something far more meaningful: space to forage, to shelter, to move safely, and to exist without immediate threat. One acre protected is one acre where pangolins — the most trafficked mammals in the world — are given time, safety and a fighting chance.
Why habitat protection matters
Pangolins are not only threatened by illegal wildlife trade, but also by the steady loss of their natural habitats. Forest clearance and land development quietly erode the spaces they depend on, often long before the impact is visible. Electric fencing is a huge threat to them and kills several Pangolins each year.
By protecting habitat:
- Pangolins can follow natural behaviours without disturbance
- Ecosystems remain balanced and intact
- Conservation work becomes preventative, not just reactive
Supporting land protection is one of the most effective ways to make a lasting difference.
How this connects to Pangolins
From the very beginning, we wanted Pangolins to be more than a name. Partnering with The Pangolin Project allows us to support real, measurable conservation work, and to do so in a way that feels thoughtful rather than performative.
A proportion of sales from our Pangolin-related products contributes directly to this work — quietly, consistently, and with intention. This first donation of the year marks the start of another chapter of ongoing support, made possible by our customers choosing gifts with care.
If you’d like to support pangolin conservation through your gifting choices, you can explore our Pangolin Gifts collection — thoughtfully chosen pieces that give back, with a proportion of each sale contributing to the protection of their habitat.
Small choices, made with care, can help protect the lives we share this planet with.
