The Design Story
Inspired by one of the most enduring tales of Greek mythology, the Fall of Icarus Earrings reinterpret the ancient story of ambition, courage and consequence through sculptural jewellery design.
The myth tells of Icarus and his father, Daedalus, who fashioned wings from feathers and beeswax to escape captivity. Carried away by the thrill of flight, Icarus soared too close to the sun, melting the wax and sending him into the sea below. The earrings’ hand-carved feathered form pays tribute to those legendary wings, while their warm golden finish evokes the radiance of the sun itself.
Elegant, expressive and rich with symbolism, these earrings offer a contemporary connection to one of Greece’s most celebrated stories.
