Hand-shaped from durable fireclay and finished with a distinctive glaze, each bowl carries its own subtle variations — a reflection of true artisanal making. Fired at very high temperatures for strength and longevity, this stoneware matchawan is designed to be both practical and enduring.

Traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony, the matchawan’s tall vertical walls help prevent splashing while whisking, while the broad base allows the bamboo whisk (chasen) to move freely, creating a smooth texture and delicate froth with ease.
